She uses her skills to develop a solution for two contradictory problems: food waste and an alarming lack of nutritional food in children's diets. In Cincinnati\, an estimated 48% of the children are living in poverty and food insecurity while simultaneously\, a massive amount of nutritious food is simply thrown away. La Soupe operates six days a week with volunteers "rescuing" produce that would otherwise be thrown away\, "transforming" it into delicious and nutritious meals\, and "sharing" it with 47 partner agencies throughout Greater Cincinnati.\n\n\n\n \n\nGuest Emcee\, Angel Hicks\n\nAngel Hicks is the CEO & Founder of Evolve Women's Network. Angel has spent her 25 year career in small business and began her entrepreneurial journey when she took over a small women's group in Cincinnati in 2016. She has spent the last five years growing from one location to six in three states with over 300 members. Angel has been featured in several books and she\, along with her Mentor Leaders\, have just won the award for Best Local Women's Event 2021 by Cincy Chic Magazine.
