Join Grailville Retreat & Program Center\, in Loveland\, Ohio\, as we explore the wonderful world of wool and felt on Saturday\, January 19\, 2013\, from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm. \n\n With guidance from Susan Gilbert of Heartfelt Handworks\, program participants will set out on an exploration of the wonderful world of wool. We will begin by learning the process of felting. Felt is a cloth that is produced by matting\, condensing and the pressing of wool fibers. We will be felting our own materials and then begin utilizing a felting needle and natural wool fibers from Susan's beloved sheep to then embellish woolen garments as well as create three-dimensional figures upon a wire armature. And please do not worry about your skill level\, no previous felting experience is necessary. Needle-felting is a simple and satisfying technique that really offers up endless possibilities for handwork and non-handwork people alike. \n\n The Wonderful World of Wool: A Felting Workshop is a part of Grailville's 2012 Good Earth/Good Eats + Good Arts Series\, building skills to help us live lightly and well on the Earth we share. Experience the connections between people\, the earth and the food we eat\, and enjoy hands-on arts activities exploring both the beauty of the earth and your own creativity. \n\n The Wonderful World of Wool: A Felting Workshop is offered on Saturday\, January 19\, from 1:00 pm- 4:00 pm at Grailville Retreat & Program Center\, 932 O'Bannonville Road\, Loveland OH. Tuition is $35 plus $5 material fee to be paid directly to the instructor. Reservations are required. Some scholarships may be available.
