Loveland Softball Association is pleased to present a $500.00 scholarship opportunity for a High School Senior graduating in 2009.

 

LSA is committed to providing both recreational and competitive softball opportunities for the girls of our community. Beginning with the fundamentals at age five, up through high school, LSA provides both an educational and fun environment for girls to play softball, to be exposed to a skill set that includes teamwork and sportsmanship while providing the opportunity for personal and athletic growth.   In addition; LSA believes it is their responsibility to support these same athletes as they pursue higher education. This scholarship opportunity will recognize an academically talented student athlete from the Loveland community. 

 

Criteria for application:

 

Applicant must have played softball for Loveland Softball Association at some point and time.

 

Must be a high school senior who is a resident of the LovelandSchool District. 

You do not have to attend LovelandHigh School to be eligible for this scholarship.

 

Must have a seven term grade point average of 2.75 or higher.

 

Applicant must write an essay talking about what participation in a team sport with LSA has meant to her. Essay should be typed, double spaced and no more than two pages in length.

 

All application materials including high school transcript, essay and application, should be submitted as one package and mailed to:

Deadline for postmark on applications is: March 3, 2009

 

Scholarship recipient will be notified by April 10, 2009.
