In the spring of 2007, 62 starving, sick, and injured cats were rescued from an abondoned house in Cincinnati’s East End. To help with mounting vet bills, a group of artists from all over the country have created and donated pieces of art representing each cat rescued. The artists include painters, children’s book illustrators, animators, greeting card artists, textile artists and glass artists. The art will be sold by silent auction and on eBay, with all proceeds going to the foreclosure cats rescue groups. The art can be seen at the Art on Main Gallery January 4-31, 2008, Noon-7pm; closed Sundays.
