LIVESTRONG DAY @ Ideal Fitness

This year on October 2nd, we celebrate LIVESTRONG Day.  It's the day members of our community celebrate survivorship and honor those we've lost by organizing hundreds of events and raising awareness about the fight against cancer in communities across the globe.  By joining an international wave of coordinated grassroots activity on LIVESTRONG Day, you can make world leaders and the media sit up and pay attention to this disease while educating your own community about the fight against cancer.

 

Ideal Fitness and local triathlete to host a LIVESTRONG DAY event!  On October 2nd, from 10am to 10pm Ideal Fitness, 9573 Fields Ertel Rd, will open its fitness center to members and non members in an effort to raise cancer awareness, support survivors and raise funds for the Lance Armstrong Foundation.  The fitness center will be raffling off a 6 month gym membership as well as personal training sessions from Professional Fitness.  Myia Miller, a trainer for Pro Fit, will spend the 12 hours on the treadmill.  It is estimated she will run/walk close to 50 miles!  Myia has pledged to raise $3000 for the Lance Armstrong Foundation and will be competing as a member of Team LIVESTRONG at the Longhorn 70.3 Ironman in Austin TX on October 25th.
