Loveland Frog Festival 2008

The first annual Loveland Frog Festival will have you hoppin’ with lots of fun activities for the entire family!  Nisbet Park in Historic Downtown Loveland is the place to be on Saturday morning, September 27th.

 

Beginning with our third annual Pancake Breakfast, sponsored by Huntington Bank, the festival jumps off to a great start with the unique Leap Frog 5 Mile Run and Ride, sponsored by Wards Corner Chiropractic & Sports Rehab and Loveland Canoe & Kayak.

 

Race details and registration may be accessed by clicking on the above link to go straight to the getmeregistered website.  Registration includes the pancake breakfast, and free childcare provided by the Loveland Ministerial Association is available for race participants (during the race only).

 

The Pancake Breakfast will be served from 8:00 to 11:00 am, and includes large, fluffy pancakes (plain and blueberry), sausage, eggs, and drinks.  Still hungry?  Sizzlin' Grillin' sponsored by the Loveland Softball Association, will be firing up the Hot Dog Grill later in the morning!  (Sorry, no frog legs this year!)

 

Family fun and games get jumpin’ early at 8:00 am and go until 12:30 pm with popular inflatable bouncy rides and games for all ages, including prizes provided by Fitness First and Tufts Schildmeyer Family Funeral Homes.

 

We’ll have deejay music all morning long.  Do you remember "Frog Went A Courtin’ and He Did Ride"?  Mr. Frog would love the brand new 2009 VW Routan Van on display from Kings VW of Loveland!

 

At 10:30 am, visit the Interactive Petting Zoo, sponsored by Brower Insurance, see the strolling magician perform amazing tricks, visit the fire truck display by the Loveland Symmes Fire Department, and listen to the Loveland Library folks tell the story of the Loveland Frog and entertain you with frog fairy tales.

 

Be sure to check out the mini pumpkin patch and mums display by Blooms and Berries Farm Market.  (October is right around the corner!)  At 11:00 am, hop on over to our cool Loveland Traditional Leap Frog Races sponsored by Farmers Insurance and the Loveland Area Chamber of Commerce.

 

Our Loveland Frogman will be giving out free balloons, sponsored by Receptions Conference Centers, and a Magician will entertain you as he strolls throughout Nisbet Park.  Loveland Symmes Fire Department will have a fire truck display and Little Miami Inc.'s River Lab will be open for your visit.
