After over 60 year of service to the Loveland area Ron Rolke is retiring. Rolke Feed and Seed has been a longtime fixture serving homeowner and farmer alike. I can remember as a kid stopping by with my dad for so many things including coal, hay, feed, chicks that we raised to chickens for eggs and meat and grass seed. The dusty cluster of barns along the tracks right in the center of town has the era of another time. Ron and his family have been good neighbors doing things like providing hay for the Live Nativity, loaning railroad ties for Loveland’s Amazing Race and loading and unloading carriages every year at Christmas in all kinds of weather.
On Sunday April 20th from 2:00 to 5:00 pm we will have a Thank You and Farewell get together at Rolke’s. Please stop by and have a hotdog or cold drink, take a look at the old place and say thank you to a good neighbor. This little get together is hosted by Linda Sporing Lay and Martin Schickel and we hope to see you.Date and Time
